Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Workplace

Our team is working around the clock to foster a safe and healthy workplace for the well-being of our clients, visitors and staff members. The health and safety of our workplace requires all of our community members to make it a priority to take the necessary steps to protect themselves and the other members of the workplace community.

What We're Doing

  • Promoting Good Hygiene and Infection Control Practices - Signage has been posted at building entrances regarding face covering requirements, social distancing guidelines and restricting people from entering the building if sick. Additional signage has been posted regarding hand washing and other hygiene best practices. Hand sanitizing stations have been installed at main building entrances at all AmeriCenter locations.

  • Staff Support – Our staff is here to support you during our normal business hours - 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Our staff members are wearing face coverings as required by emergency order. Plexiglass barriers and visual cues have been installed at the front reception desk for the safety of our staff members and community members.

  • Enhanced Janitorial Protocols - Janitorial teams across the portfolio perform daily disinfectant cleaning of high touch areas including both hard and soft surfaces, all kitchen countertops and appliances, bathroom fixtures, light switches, and door handles. We are monitoring daily activities completed by the janitorial teams. The janitorial vendors report to AmeriCenters directly (not to a 3rd party). Cleaning products used have been confirmed by the janitorial vendors as being germicidal and/or an EPA registered disinfectant.

  • Restricting Large Gatherings – We have implemented reduced maximum occupancy restrictions for all meeting spaces based on Michigan Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.

What You Can Do

  • Appropriate Social Distancing – Avoid close contact with others. You must maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from others.

  • Wear Face Coverings Properly – Face coverings are required while in the common areas of the building. Make sure your mask covers your nose and mouth and is secure under your chin. It should fit snugly against the sides of your face. Our staff will be wearing face coverings while on the job. It is required that guests to the building wear face coverings as well.

  • Wash Your Hands Frequently – Wash your hands thoroughly and often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

  • Stay Home If You’re Sick – If you are sick, you must stay home. If you have had symptoms similar to those of a COVID-19 infection, please self-quarantine until you have confirmed that your COVID-19 status is negative.

  • Limit Congregation in Common Areas – Please limit non-essential use of common areas within the building and avoid congregating in these areas for your safety and the safety of others.

  • Limit Non-Essential Visitors – Please limit your invitations to visitors. Limit your interactions to essential business.

It is the responsibility of each individual to follow our workplace health and safety requirements and recommendations. We request your help in creating a safe and comfortable environment for all of our AmeriCenter community members and staff. Please be sure that you, your employees, and guests are aware of and adhering to our workplace health and safety requirements and recommendations.

We will continue to closely monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will act in accordance with guidance from public health experts. We know that securing our workplace health and safety is an ongoing process which requires a willingness to constantly evolve and listen to the experts. As new information becomes available, we will continue to update our guidelines and the steps we are taking to foster a safe and healthy workplace.

Thank you for your continued support and loyalty. We know where you work matters. We truly appreciate the trust that you place in our team and our company.
